Winemaking notes
Vinification is done in truncated wooden vats for the reducing grape varieties (Syrah, Mourvèdre) and in traditional concrete and enamelled sandstone vats for the oxidative grape varieties (all the others). At the end of the malolactic fermentations, the Perrin family proceeds to the assembly of the different grape varieties, then the wine will age in oak barrels for a year before bottling.
Viticultural notes
The Château de Beaucastel has approximately 110 hectares in one piece to the north of the appellation. The terroir is the archetype of the great terroirs of Châteauneuf: pebbles on the surface, clays, sands and limestone in depth. The vines are old and the organic cultivation practiced for more than 50 years has allowed their roots to sink deep.
Tasting notes
rich and complex, mixing superb notes of spices, fresh fruit, cocoa and brandy. Very elegant, full-bodied and generous on the palate, this wine offers a silky texture and powerful aromas of black berries and noble spices. It ends with a very nice length.
