Domaine du Clos des Tourelles Gigondas 2019

The grapes are harvested by hand, and the greatest care is taken with the bunches, which are placed whole in vats. After a few days of maceration, fermentation starts spontaneously with the indigenous yeasts. Extraction is mainly by light punching of the cap. After pressing in a vertical press, the wines are aged for a year and a half in foudres.

This estate's vines and old vines, whether in the middle of the slopes or in the “Clos”, on this Gigondas terroir, give the wine a unique elegance and aromatic finesse. Domaine des Tourelles is located below the village of Gigondas. The vineyard, which includes a “Clos” directly adjacent to the property and the village, faces north-west and benefits from a cool micro-climate that enables late harvesting.

Clos des Tourelles 2019 is a model of elegance. It presents itself in a beautiful dense red color with plum highlights before revealing a highly refined nose with subtle notes of violets and pepper. On the palate, it also reveals its great finesse, with superb aromas of blackcurrant and liquorice, and a long, elegant finish.
