Viticultural notes
Distilled at Miltonduff Distillery, Mosstowie was one of only a handful of spirits to be made using a Lomond Still. The Lomond stills allowed the lyne arm position to be changed, giving varying levels of reflux and differing heaviness to the spirit. Mainly used in blended whisky, the Lomond stills were removed in 1981.
Tasting notes
Fragrant VANILLA POD and BUTTERSCOTCH aromas lead to CANDIED PEEL and hedgerow BLOSSOM. LEATHER and STEWED APPLE notes come to the fore alongside BLACKCURRANT LEAVES.
