Winemaking notes

Made in 1995 at Aberfeldy distillery, this Highland single malt was matured in a single refill American oak hogshead for more than two decades before it was bottled in April 2019 for Gordon & MacPhail's Connoisseur's Choice series.

Tasting notes

Sweet honey aromas are joined by lemon, life, toffee apples, apricots and mango. Initially the palate offers peppery yet sweet notes of poached pear, vanilla, lime, black pepper and tropical fruits, slowly developing into chocolate, charred oak and menthol that linger in the finish.
