Winemaking notes
Mr George Urquhart, or ‘the father of single malt whisky’ as he’s been called, understood that the pursuit of perfection takes time. Time to learn, understand, experiment, and refine. But time can work wonders. The second edition of the Mr George Legacy Series from Gordon & MacPhail, a rich, complex single malt from Glen Grant distillery.
Tasting notes
Notes of rich fruitcake intertwined with festive spices, with morello cherries and tobacco notes on the mouth followed by a spicy full-bodied finish. Mr. George spent its entire maturation in a first fill sherry butt, the second edition was bottled in November 2021 and comes in with a cask strength of 56.1%.
