Winemaking notes

A 1998 vintage single malt from the Ardmore distillery, independently bottled by Gordon & MacPhail. It was aged in refill sherry hogsheads before being bottled in 2018 as part of the relaunched Distillery Labels ranges, featuring a neat retro-styled label.

Tasting notes

Nose: Baked apple and salted caramel, with driftwood and anise developing in the background. Palate: Bitter orange and lime, followed by blackberry jam, rye bread and clove. Finish: Nutmeg, a touch of earthy peat, stewed summer berries.
